There’s a new kid on the wellness block, and Amalfi Bodyteca might just be the most relaxed kid in Darwin.
Welcome to Darwin’s newest look into luxury wellness. A truly blissful experience located on the Esplanade in the CBD, Amalfi is a beautiful space specialising in reflexology, massage, aromatherapy, facials, 1 on 1 yoga, and private meditation – it’s a mecca for relaxation and wellness!
As I entered Amalfi, on the corner of the Esplanade on the ground floor of the 130 Complex, I instantly felt calm. A great sign!
The girls explained to me that they have sourced Australian oils and fragrances, and the whole experience lends itself to complete relaxation and is a great way for you to dip your toes into – or immerse yourself in – holistic therapies.
I was offered the choice between two essential oil blends – both exclusive to Amalfi – had the benefits of each explained to me, and was then invited into the gorgeous treatment room for my Zenith Massage.
A Zenith Massage is a deep meditative Indian head massage – designed to relieve the pressure of an exhausted mind – something I am sure many of us can relate to!
Hot tip – make sure you don’t go in for a Zenith right before something else – because the treatment includes a divine leave-in hair treatment, so you come out looking sleek hair chic!
To finish off in true NT luxury, a healing crocodile oil is applied to the face and neck, targeting stress and anxiety, and intensely nourishing the skin.
The treatment is complete with a moment of rest, a delicious tea, and encouragement to be still for a moment and ease back into the real world – whether that’s hanging out in their space for a little while – or going for a walk on the esplanade straight out the front door.
There is also a small curation of sustainable and Australian-made products for purchase at the counter, to give as gifts or continue to treat yourself after your treatment!
The treatment lasts for a blissful 45 minutes, and we absolutely can’t wait to go back and try the rest of them!
