Do it for the ‘gram – The next Darwin cafes to hit for your Instagram feed

When it comes to being ‘insta-worthy’ in Darwin, most of your ‘gram cred probably comes from spectacular views, beautiful waterfalls… or crocodiles!

We are about to up that game for you – whether you’re after the perfect breakfast, quirky interiors, or just a great holiday view, we’ve curated the perfect guide of which Darwin Cafe’s to hit to Instagram your next brunch.

Trader Bar

Trader Bar is a coffee shop by (weekend) mornings, and a bar by night. The white washed, bohemian interiors feature large windows, creating great morning and evening lighting for the shot. The clean and crisp interior is perfectly complemented by the tropical jungle in the courtyard, grab a cocktail or a coffee, and every corner presents as a photo opportunity!

Mad Snake Cafe

Nothing says ‘street cred’ like graffiti walls, and believe it or not, Darwin has a lot! Austin Lane, our answer to the laneways of Melbourne (but with sunshine!) is home to many quirky bars and eateries – including the Mad Snake Cafe. If the nostalgic cafe interior isn’t enough to warrant an Instagram photo, the graffiti walls out the front definitely will be.

Rays Patisserie & Cafe

Nothing says tropical like holding up your fresh juice in front of a beautiful tropical feature wall – like the one at Rays Patisserie & Cafe in the City.

If you want to be in the shot – their courtyard is excellent, complete with a swing under a neon sign. HELLO heart eyes emoji!!

Eva’s Botanical Gardens Cafe

Eva’s is a rustic, tropical cafe located in the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. It’s lush and beautiful, the perfect spot to get a tranquil tropical paradise shot – and the best bit is that it is dog & child friendly – so you can bring the whole fam for the gram!

If you want to get fancy, they even do a high tea!

Besser Kitchen & Brew Bar

I don’t know if you’ve noticed – but instagrammers love a neon sign. Head into the industrial area of Winnellie in Darwin for this hidden gem – complete with a pink ‘but first, coffee’ neon sign. If you want a shot of the perfectly grammable breakfast, we suggest the pancakes. DELISH.

Ruby G’s

Nothing says ‘Instagram’ better than selling a smorgasbord of pastries that look as good as they taste – from a yellow kombi-van. Ruby G’s does exactly that at the Parap Markets – and if it’s not market day you can still pose with the Kombi at the Coconut Grove location.
