Ruby G’s Canteen is known around town for it’s gluten free breads. You’ll find them in Coconut Grove and Darwin City as well as their pop-up van at Parap and Nightcliff Markets.
Calling all sweet tooths! Kurt’s Cakes not only serve up some of the best patisseries and cakes in Darwin, but they also have many gluten free options. You can now have your cake and eat it too! Located at 35 Cavenagh St in Darwin City.
The Groove Cafe in Nightcliff have stacks of gluten free options by opting for the gf-bread as well as omelettes, frittatas and lots of gluten free sweat treat options.
One of Darwin’s most Instagrammable cafe’s isn’t all show – The Besser Brew Bar in Winnellie are very GF-friendly, with most of their menu having a gluten-free option – think spiced lamb tacos, smashed avo or the smorgasmic board!
From the same owners of Besser, Laneway Specialty Coffee also know how to please the anti-gluteners. They also offer much of the menu with gluten-free options. We say treat yourself to these Organic Buckwheat Hotcakes because the wattleseed pannacotta is everything!
Pizza lovers, you are in luck! Alfonsino’s do the BEST gluten free pizza going around. They’re so good, we recommend these for those who aren’t intolerant to gluten too. Located on Mitchell St, Darwin.
Thanks to Good Thanks, the best burgers in town can be made with a gluten free bun. Our pick is the Steak Sanga… they had us at blue cheese! Find them on Knuckey St, Darwin.
Saffrron, located in Parap, is some of the best and most authentic Indian in Darwin. There are plenty of GF options here – just check with the waiter.
Who doesn’t love tapas and sangria!? Moorish Cafe in Darwin City offer an extensive menu of tapas and meals from Spain, the Mediterranean, and North Africa – and even better there are plenty of gluten-free options.
One of our favourite restaurants and iconic to the NT’s multicultural food scene, Hanuman’s Darwin City has a gluten free chart on their menu to cater for all your needs.
Bella Pasta at Darwin Waterfront have all pasta options available in gluten free. If pasta isn’t your thing, then go for the GF pizza instead – they have you covered! Also look out for the pop-up Bella Pasta stores next to Coles in Darwin City and Nightcliff next to Woolies, and purchase your GF pasta to take home.
Kick back on the balcony at Hot Tamale overlooking the Darwin waterfront lagoon and choose from numerous gluten free options on the menu, such as nachos, burrito bowls, enchiladas, guacamole, or our favourite Elote Con Crema!
Lastly, discover what Darwin is iconic for, and that’s pop-up food vans beachside in Nightcliff, Rapid Creek or East Point. The Potato Man has a full gluten free menu, so go nut on any spuds or toppings that take your fancy!
